Just because Rasputin Senator McConnell pulled the BCRA bill before it could be shot down during the preliminary vote to proceed with debate doesn’t mean he and his party have given up. Remember that Ryan had to do the same thing in the House and they passed it two months after the initial failure.

If you’re in a state with Republican Senators, keep the pressure on. Call their local offices as well as their DC ones. When they take the July 4 recess home in their states, if they hold meetings or town halls, attend. Tell them that the bill hurts far too many people, and ask them if they want to be known forevermore as “one of the Senators who valued tax cuts for the wealthy few above the health of the poor and middle-class many?”

Keep working at it. Scare them.
