It was more difficult than expected a year ago when she began her campaign, but tonight Hillary Rodham Clinton won in three of the six primaries held today to claim the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States.

It’s historic. Claiming the Democratic Party isn’t progressive enough is foolish when you look at its latest two nominees for the highest office in the land.
