I know what I would do if I were the authorities in this situation: I’d put a bunch of law enforcement personnel around the buildings the idiots have occupied and not let anyone or anything in or out. I’d keep my folks about a quarter-mile away so they wouldn’t be shot at by a Bundy or that Islamophobe Ritzheimer.

It’s unclear whether in fact the site has been blockaded by the Feds, though. There are some reports that there have been children brought in to the occupation zone. If that’s true that is an irresponsible and malevolent act similar to Saddam Hussein’s use of human shields in 1991. PBS reported that local supporters had brought in supplies.

Apparently they’re still short, though: they put out a request for snacks.

That was Thursday, Dec. 31. As others have pointed out, they’re asking for their supplies to be sent to them via the government agency with the widest sweep of any of them, the US Post Office. The hypocrisy and stupidity grow larger by the day.
