Plotting a birthday meal

My sister and I are ten years apart in age but only five days apart on the calendar. Over the past few years we’ve been going out to dinner once to celebrate both days. The last two years it’s been Mexican food at El Mariachi right down the hill, but I’m trying to sell the idea of beef at Stuart Anderson’s Cattle Company or someplace like it, ’cause I haven’t had a steak or prime rib that someone else has cooked in a long time.

We’ll see.

  1. Definitely Cattle Company. Gerry and I have been eating there every couple of months for the last 6 or 7 years and we have never had a bad cut of meat – ever. He likes the teriyaki steak but I’m a fan of the filet mignon. Their broccoli is served with shavings of parmesan cheese and I’m a sucker for their loaded baked potato. Just be sure to save some room for dessert. It’s a toss-up between the White Chocolate Bread Pudding and the New York Cheesecake. Here’s to a very Happy Birthday.
