Not just of the Koch Brothers, either. Nope. His first political affiliation was with the American Legislative Exchange Council, or ALEC. It’s a lobbying shop which calls itself a charity and is thus deemed tax-exempt. It’s really a front for a group which writes corporate-friendly legislative language and then offers it to its members for use in their home states.
