The party’s Senate membership is made up of hateful people who lost whatever iota of human kindness they once had. Why else would they once again block a plan to extend (paid-for) unemployment benefits to the 1.7 million Americans (in many cases, their constituents!) who lost their benefits in December? Benefits lost at the time because the party did the same thing then.

I cannot understand how these people get re-elected. Do their state’s residents just not pay attention to the kind of votes they cast? Are they really on board with screwing the other half of the country? Do they lack all empathy for people struggling to feed their children, buy medicine, keep roofs over their head without income?

I don’t get it.
