This felt strange to say

Normally I have my teeth cleaned every six months, but with all the Sturm und Drang over my mouth’s various ailments I skipped last October’s appointment on the advice of both the periodontist and the surgeons. The other day when I went up to the ENT Clinic I asked if I could go back to my ordinary schedule and was told yes, so I called my dentist today and said “I’m desperate to have my teeth cleaned. How strange does that sound?” The appointment-taker at the other end of the phone laughed and said “I don’t hear that very often!”

Friday, scraping and scrubbing and polishing. Good.

  1. My husband announced that the other day!
No, you don’t hear that often.

I’d rather not go to the dentist at all. :o(
But I’m waiting on getting a filling repaired right now! We don’t have dental insurance. So I was planning on seeing when the local dental hygienist school is doing their public clinical practice & send my husband there!! LOL

If you’ve never gone for a cleaning at a dental hygienist school… well I have. It’s very inexpensive! Which is fantastic of course if you don’t have insurance. AND, I think you might even get a better cleaning there – because they’re being GRADED.

BUT, the one big downside is that it takes a LONG time in the dentist chair with someone scraping and scrubbing!
