One surgical thing after another

Back in March I complained about a pain in my jaw and my trip to my dentist, who determined it was a pocket in my gum behind a wisdom tooth. Tomorrow I go in for an hour’s worth of periodontal surgery to shore it up.

I’ve been prescribed antibiotics, a muscle relaxant, painkillers and antiseptic mouthwash. The muscle relaxant is to allow the jaw to be held open for longer than one normally does.

Blech. This stuff is tiresome. Necessary but tiresome.

  1. Dreadful stuff. I’m not sure I agree on the gas. At one time in my life I used it, but it didn’t do much for the pain and it made my asthma worse.
