I’m just back from the periodontal surgeon, where he discovered some bone below the graft he put in last week had started to die and expel itself. That’s what was causing the pain I’ve been having all week; the initial surgery and graft is doing fine.

He gently removed the bone and sewed up the hole it left behind, handed me some more Amoxicillin and another prescription for Percocet and said come back next Friday for further checkup.

Ain’t it all fun?
