One of the things we erstwhile office-workers forget is that some industries are highly dependent on weather. Construction is a notable example. We’re having our deck replaced, and the forecast for today included lots of heavy rain. At 7:00am this morning the construction manager called us to tell us his crew was not going to be here today. This is the second day in a row that rain has precluded any work getting done.
