Credit to the Giants, but . . .

Bah. Brady didn’t get a lot of help from his receivers on that last failed drive. Two drops of catchable balls made a 4th and 16 throw necessary, rather than a potential couple of easier throws to get them closer.

Ah well. It was an exciting game.

Updated: I’ve updated my Super Bowl Scoring Differential spreadsheet to reflect today’s score. The average difference between winners and losers is now down to 14.35 points, or slightly more than two touchdowns.

  1. Other than Welker, his wide receivers let him down pretty much the entire game. Branch had 3 catches, Ochocinco had 1. And Welker dropped that pass on their next-to-last drive.
