A dry run for Turkey Day

When I bought my bread machine cookbook I started paging through it looking for recipes I’d like to try, and the one for Sweet Potato Bread stood out as an obvious one for Thanksgiving. Every year my sister makes mashed sweet potatoes and fills orange halves with the mixture, bakes them, and serves them as a side dish. The bread would complement that nicely, I thought.

Well, here we are three weeks from Thanksgiving. I thought I’d better test the recipe before I serve it to company.

From Bread

Oh, man, is this delicious. It came out of the bread machine just in time to be served with cheeseburgers, sweet potato fries, and corn. The dark bits are cranberries.
