This is depressing. Bernanke acknowledges job growth is disappointing, but declines to do anything about it. Instead we get this weak tea:

Ben, it’s part of your purview as Fed Chairman to focus on improving conditions for employment!

Even though politically it might be impossible to get any job packages through this Congress (not a Do-Nothing Congress, but an Actively-Working-to-Make-Things-Worse Congress), shouldn’t it at least be tried? Ben, Barack, Democrats? Bueller?
