  1. Just shocked myself, actually had 12 out of 15 correct and I would have said I know nothing about religions of any kind!! The 3 I had wrong I guessed at–obviously. Had absolutely no clue on #15!!

    I knew it wasn’t Billy Graham for #15, but I basically flipped a coin between the other two and got it wrong.
    I can’t quite figure out why atheists were just below Jews for accuracy, but church attendance is directly, not conversely, related to accuracy.
    Am I misunderstanding the results?

  3. Did you read the full analysis?
    I think atheists/agnostics score highly in part because they’ve had to make a choice to believe or not believe, so they’ve thought and studied more religious theory and history than those brought up in faith traditions who “take it on faith.”
    I imagine church attendance where your knowledge is continuously being reinforced by repetition might have something to do with the retention of the data.
