I love that these are available online! Especially because it gives me hope that more people will discover M.R. James, who’s one of my favorite authors.
There’s something up with the estate of L. P. Hartley I think – I was trying to find his story The Traveling Grave and couldn’t until I finally tracked down a used book of collected stories. It’s sort of sad that he was that hard for me to find – that particular story is wildly creepy. Well, to me anyhow. Mostly because my brain is still trying to figure out how the contraption in the story could really work.
