Greater love hath no man than to drive twenty-six miles round trip to get pain pills for his dog.

I’m sure it was probably painful for the owner to know that the dog was in pain. Hope relief for both of them comes soon!
So true.
Did you get the peanut butter to make the pilling easier?
🙂
In this case it was Rimadyl, an NSAID. It’s liver-flavored, apparently, although I can’t swear to that. She scarfs it up without wrapping of any sort. 😉
Well, yeah, but would you really want to be the kind of person who even thinks twice about doing it?
I used to have a dog who needed Rimadyl. She was very skeptical about most pills, but she’d come get me when it was time for this one. (In her mind, about every 10 minutes. I had to keep a log by the bottle, because she was an expert at convincing everyone in the house that no one had remembered to give it to her. A Dachshund, obviously.)
Juli, no, although the trip was in part a reaction to the vet’s habit of charging me a premium above postage cost to mail it. I think postage ought to be a cost of doing business borne by the business anyway, but that’s another argument.
