  1. On Guatemalan Heritage Night, it's worth noting that no Guatemalan has ever played in MLB, though there've been a handful of minor leaguers, mostly in the Orioles system. I did once watch baseball in Guatemala City.

  2. Still no Teóscar, but Yamamoto's back. Nick Ramírez is gone, likely forever. He was nothing but a placeholder for Yamamoto.

  3. I am pleased to note our Atléticos binned Trashtros 4-3 in 12 innings. Less pleased to note that Fryers lead M's 5-2 in seventh.

    • Other than Paredes, he's had little trouble. The ball Freddie booted got scored a hit.

      Imanaga's good too.

  5. Today in Dodgers History
    September 10th

    Nothing found for the Dodgers.

1963 In the first inning of an 8-0 rout of the Cubs at Sportsman's Park, Cardinals left fielder Stan Musial becomes the first grandfather in big league history to hit a home run. The 42-year-old new grandpa accomplishes the feat in his first at-bat since his grandson's birth earlier in the day.
