RHP Tony Gonsolin (11-0, 1.62 ERA) brings his unblemished record to the hill to face the Cardinals’ long-time ace Adam Wainwright (6-7, 3.15 ERA).   1. Paddies have retaken the lead in Denver, but it’s only the sixth and the Rox are threatening again.

  2. Do we have to fall behind in virtually every game? This is the third straight game in which we have trailed by at least four runs.

  3. Meanwhile, in Denver, the Rox have tied the Pads after five, erasing a three-run deficit.

  4. I can’t begrudge Gonsolin one off-day in half a season, but I still want a comeback tonight.

  5. On the other hand, in the last 2 1/2 games Freddie has raised his batting average from .296 to .315.
