RHP Antonio Senzatela (3-1, 3.32 ERA) takes the mound for the visiting Rockies against the Dodgers’ RHP Dustin May (1-1, 2.83 ERA). Senzatela threw seven scoreless innings against the Padres in his last start. Against the Dodgers on August 23 he gave up four home runs in 5 1/3 innings. May has gotten into the sixth inning in three of his last five starts and in his last one he denied the Rangers a home run, the first start since July 29 he’d done so.

  3. I am guessing that Kolarek, he of the 0.00 ERA, gets the win. Official scorer’s discretion. You can’t give it to someone who gave up a grand slam, even though he’s the pitcher of record.

  4. Dodgers had four hits through the first five innings, 11 in the last three. One run through the first five innings, nine in the last three.

  5. My wife, daughter and I watched “Bull Durham” tonight. It stands up well despite having been made 32 years ago. What a different role for Tim Robbins compared to “The Shawshank Redemption.”

          • An impressive list. We took my daughter to see Ragtime on Broadway when she was young. She has loved musicals ever since. Hamilton was unique and wonderful.

          • So cool Scoop. I love musicals but haven’t seen that many – only listened to the soundtracks. It’s the equivalent I suppose of listening to Vin on radio but never seeing the Dodgers play on tv.

          • I still recall watching the Music Man on tv with my dad when I was a kid. I thought it was going to be a boring doc about a music teacher or something like that. Lol. I ended up loving it of course.

    • When this inning started I was counting batters until it got back to the top of the lineup. When Bellinger singled that gave the Dodgers a chance to at least have Mookie bat once more tonight. Now he might bat still this inning!

        • I cant help but think of an early 60s recording of this by two Italian opera stars, Ettore Bastianini and Giulietta Simionato, whose command of English was shall we say limited. Great fun.
