Dodgers at Reds, 1:10PM PT, TV: SPNLA
Bud Norris (6-9, 4.26 ERA) goes for the Dodgers and rookie Tim Adleman (1-1, 3.72 ERA) pitches for the Reds.
MLB.com is not responsive, so I’m a little short on further details about this matchup. Sorry.
Norris is 3-2 with a 4.34 ERA since coming to the Dodgers from the Braves at the trade deadline. He hasn’t pitched since he was pulled from the July 31 game with a mid-back strain after only 13 pitches. That led to a stint on the 15-day DL. Adleman’s big league record was compiled in May before he suffered an oblique strain and went on the DL himself. He’s made two starts at AAA Louisville since his recovery.
Pederson’s newfound success is profiled at ESPN.
Today, the #Dodgers reinstated Adam Liberatore & Bud Norris from the 15-day DL and optioned Casey Fien & Ross Stripling to Triple-A OKC.

Finally this travesty of a game is done.
Go mets.
I’ve lost all interest in the Olympics, which have become a scam to bilk money out of desperate cities and countries.
Not a great night in sports. Dodgers getting hammered and Canada finishing out of the medals in the men’s 4x100m race.
US Men’s volleyball losing a 3-point lead three points from match in set four and then losing set five to Italy. Oh well, the women’s water polo team beat Italy for gold in that event.
Then the men’s 4×100 team is disqualified.
Really?
Baton pass out of the passing zone apparently.
That’s a recurring theme with the men, I think.
Our loss is your gain. Canada gets the Bronze!
Hmm. It would appear so. It always seems weird that the race I saw with my eyes is not the race that ended up being true.
Where is our power tonight?
On the warning track…
Just tuning in. Um, Norris? Three runs in the 1st?!?!
He was Earl Weavered!
Got squeezed v. Hamilton on leadoff walk.

Uh-huh.
Good news on Klayton and Hill throwing today, but as always let’s see tomorrow how they feel.
You know those fancy helmets the Dodgers are wearing? The lettering has been giving the equipment manager fits, so they’re changing them to a rubberized material which won’t break as frequently as the hard plastic ones have been doing.
