  1. Yesterday they showed a stat that said the Dodgers were 28th when it came to % of runs scored by home runs. Mets are first.
Nice to see both teams improving their stats tonight.

  2. I think it’s fair to say none of us expected the kind of play and production Utley’s putting forth so far. He’s just a hair under .300 and his defense has been very good.

    And now Gonzo goes deep!

  3. Loney signing because of injuries to the Mets, but this didn’t hurt, I’m sure: “Loney, 32, had been playing with Triple-A El Paso in the Padres
organization. He was hitting .342 with two homers and 28 RBIs in 158
at-bats with the Pacific Coast League club.”

  4. From a couple of hours ago: Mets complain Dodgers using technology

“I don’t want to make it more than it was, but we observed some
members of the Dodgers organization using technology to establish
defensive positions, presumably for use during the game,” Mets general
manager Sandy Alderson said Saturday. “We weren’t sure that was
appropriate. But Major League Baseball is going to look at that issue.
So I don’t really have any further comment.”

The Dodgers did not deny using something similar to a global positioning system (GPS), or a laser range finder similar to what might be used during a round of golf, to establish points on the outfield, but flatly denied that electronic assistance is used during games.

  5. Have one ear to the game tonight, but have the other ear and both eyes on Jimmy Stewart in Anatomy of a Murder.

  6. So, Frick and Frack just said the western division won’t have a wild card this year? So you guys know what they mean?

  7. Puig would have caught that ball but then probably run head first into the wall.

  8. Poor Maeda. I don’t know how he’s keeping his cool with the being hit on the hand and Thor out and so much distraction.

  9. I so want to beat the Mets after hearing to these Fox guys blather about how great the Mets are and how wrong the ump was. And I’m a huge former Mets fan.

    • I think they were being particularly Metty because it was rhe celebration on the 86 Champioship and they had a series of Met players visiting the booth.

  10. These announcers are such Mets homers, seems to me… Anyone else have an opinion? Also, not loving a few pitch calls on Maeda.
