Dodgers at Marlins, 4:10PM PT, TV: SPNLA
Josh Beckett is looking for his first decision of the season against the team which drafted him in 1999. He’s 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA this year over 22 innings. He’ll face Tom Koehler, a right-hander who’s in his first full season in the majors. He’s 2-2 with a 2.97 ERA over 30.1 innings.
Each team swept its last series. The Marlins are 14-14 after beating the Braves three straight and the Dodgers are 17-12 after defeating the Twins three times in less than 36 hours.
No one can doubt that Yasiel Puig likes being on a team. Here are three episodes from the dugout yesterday.
Lineup when available.

Update: This is horrible news:
The #Dodgers today placed Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 15-day disabled list with left-shoulder inflammation (retroactive to April 28).

Let’s face it — I don’t think (m)any of us thought they would be anything like yesterday’s first game.
So I’m impressed that they were able to come up off the mat (out of the coma?) and score something at the end.
And I’m more and more impressed with Beckett.
But equally distressed with the bullpen — if it’s not one member, it’s another to cause alarm.
Still, I’m optimistic . . . they DO have a good team.
I just discovered the Padres Fox channel is available to me. I could watch HOURS of baseball!
I think as link mentioned, a good night sleep will do wonders and hopefully as they had started to wake up in the 8th and 9th, this will continue tomorrow
Oh well.
Orel, you ageist!
I took my dog to the park and it was 3-0. I come back and hear LA scored twice, only to find out out Miami scored three more times in the 7th . . . too many LA “firemen” in the bullpen come out pouring gasoline.
Win some replays, lose some replays.
Dare we hope
To heck with it, Dodgers, go back to the hotel and get some sleep.
Four. Drat.
It may not be over, well in one sense I think that it is over
Make that five. Errr, six. Triple drat.
I think that 3-0 is about 3 runs too many for us today
They are playing tired. I am watching tired.
Heh. We all are.
the games yesterday and today were all on at a good time for me 🙂
Yeah, well, you’re in the Antipodes. 😉
Get Josh off the hook, guys!
That’s not how to do it!
No.
Nice way to get out of it
bonus there with the foul bunt strikeout
Here’s a chance
or not
Ethier hitting .392 in 49 games against the Fish
Yeah, well, not today. As our Aussie friend John said yesterday, Puig’s the only outfielder playing like he belongs out there every day.
SVS! (well, everyday against lefties)
Ha! Okay, I think John meant “of the four outfielders who were supposed to be competing for the three slots.”
What I actually said was…. 🙂 Kemp – (getting 0 for 6) can’t really be demanding (if he still is) that he plays everyday
Hmm. Okay, I’ll be the one to say Puig is the only one who . . . oh never mind. 😉
I actually agree with you 🙂
That last replay looked like he was safe (Miami feed).
Its not great news, but hopefully just precautionary

Yes, terrible news re Ryu.
I’m surprised SVS isn’t in the lineup . . . and Crawford IS.
I’m guessing Uribear is tuckered out.
Go, Dodgers — Beckett deserves a “W”! (After his first start this year, I thought it was more of the same nightmare, but he’s won me over.)
I like to think Crawford is being showcased.
Don’t know how they can be playin’. I am still worn out just from watching yesterday’s games.
Figgins back on team and starting for Uribe. Don’t know who was sent down to make room.
From Twitter: Also, the #Dodgers today recalled Chone Figgins and Jose Dominguez, and optioned Paco Rodriguez and Red Patterson to @AbqTopes.
