  1. Only the wealthy teams can have an expensive closer assigned to the 8th inning and if the Dodgers decide to spend less on the 7th and 8th innings perhaps a few teams will want to spend more on the 9th and try to pry League and Wilson away from the Dodgers. And surely Tampa Bay would like to welcome an old friend back into their outfield.

    • I wouldn’t hold my breath until someone tries to pry League away from the Dodgers (except maybe at the pro-rated minimum after a DFA).

    • I will say this …

What was up with the approach at the plate in the 9th?… Ethier, Uribe, Ellis…

      Take a perfect strike…
      Take a perfect strike…
Swing at total piece of crap….

      Nice.

  2. Stuck with AM only here now. No Vin. ( I know, tonight’s is an ESPN broadcast, save it. ) New affiliate dropping out constantly as if buffering on a dial-up connection. This is the year i chose to cut the cord. Welp.

    • We dumped Comcast and don’t miss it at all, except that I can no longer see any A’s games (I couldn’t care less about Gnats game except when they’re playing the Dodgers. MLBTV works by far the greater part of the time. I really detest Steiner, though.
