I've read twelve of the nineteen books I had on reserve. Four to go by the Monday due date. What a comedic writer Terry Pratchett is!
Of the library bunch, I've read Equal Rites, Sourcery, Eric, Small Gods, Lords and Ladies, Men at Arms, Soul Music, Feet of Clay, Interesting Times, Hogfather, and Jingo.
Still to go: The Last Continent, Carpe Jugulum, The Fifth Elephant, and Thud.
Posted by Linkmeister at September 8, 2006 02:53 PM | TrackBackWhen you run out of Pratchett, you might try Jasper Fforde; start with "The Eyre Affair".
And if you ever went through a Larry Niven phase, look for Pratchett's early books "Strata" and "The Dark Side of the Sun".
I ran out of steam on Discworld several books ago, but I keep hearing exemplary things about the Wee Free Men books.
The recent DW ones (The Truth, Thief of Time, Going Postal, Night Watch, etc) are much more affecting/hard hitting than the early ones. I actually have a hard time going back and reading some of the earlier, more slap-sticky ones. I've heard Thud is pretty serious too (at least as serious as anything based in discworld can be). Just got my copy yesterday and can't wait. The Wee Free Men series (The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, and his next book out (excerpted in the Thud paperback) are tons of fun too.
Best of luck finishing the 19!
